You know I’m always looking for ways to make your marketing feel easier and more human. Lately, I’ve been hearing from so many practitioners:
“AI is great, but everything it writes sounds generic.”
Yep, I get it. There’s nothing worse than posting something that sounds stiff, robotic, or like it could have been written for anyone. That’s why in this episode, I’m sharing my super simple method for getting AI (I use ChatGPT or Claude) to write Instagram carousels that don’t just sound like me — they are me.
Spoiler alert: you don’t need to upload giant writing samples or build a fancy custom GPT. You just need one easy prompt and your own words.
Why Information Alone Isn’t Enough
As my coach Lacey Sites says, “information is no longer a commodity.” People can Google “three tips for better sleep.” What they can’t Google is your unique experience, stories, and perspective.
Instead of posting yet another generic list, try weaving in the way you actually talk to patients:
- Share the story behind a win (like a client cutting their migraine days down from five a month to just one).
- Explain your process in plain, approachable language.
- Use specifics from your own expertise instead of cookie-cutter advice.
That’s what makes content feel authentic — and that’s exactly what we’re using AI to amplify.
My Easy Button AI Prompt for Carousels
Here’s what I do:
- Open ChatGPT (I use the paid version, but you can try this in the free one too).
- Type this exact prompt:
“I am going to brain dump an idea for an Instagram carousel post. Please don’t change my words, just clean them up for clarity and flow.” - Tap the microphone button on my phone and start word-vomiting everything I want to say.
- Wait a couple minutes — and like magic, AI organizes my thoughts into clean, easy-to-read slides.
It literally breaks things down into Slide 1, Slide 2, Slide 3… so I can go straight into Canva, the Instagram carousel tool, or even Instagram Stories to design.
The best part? It’s still my voice, because it’s still my words. AI just polishes them up.
Carousel Creation Tips
- Keep it casual. You don’t need to over-design everything. Even using camera roll photos with text overlaid in Instagram Stories can look real and relatable.
- Mix formats. Canva works great, but you can also create carousels directly in Instagram or use photo-dump style posts.
- Batch ideas. Voice memos in the shower, at night, or after patient wins? Dump them into AI and save for later.
If you’re in the Holistic Marketing Hub, I taught a full lesson on carousel creation styles, ideas, and tech. You’ll find that inside your portal — don’t miss it!
Wrapping It Up
If you’ve been resisting AI because you don’t want to sound like a robot, this is your permission slip: AI doesn’t have to replace you — it can amplify you. With one simple prompt and a voice memo, you can turn your everyday thoughts into polished carousels that connect.

Episode Transcript
Good morning. I say good morning 'cause I'm actually recording this before eight o'clock in the morning. Who am I? Hold on, let me, lemme take a sip of coffee. Take take a sip of coffee with me friends. Okay. I actually, you know how the whole like collagen and MCT oil and coffee was like a craze for a long time?
I never really did it, but I just started working with a new gut health person and she was like, I love MCT oil, I love collagen coffee. So today I just, she thin MCT oil was like, you know, direct food for your brain. So we'll see. I've only had like three sips, but if this podcast episode starts getting progressively better and you're like, damn, Molly, you're so smart.
Just know it's the CMCT oil, the collagen in my coffee. Today's episode is going to be short, but it's going to be, I think like probably one of the most actionable. Like helpful episodes. I mean, I think all my episodes are actionable and helpful, but this one's just like a quick tip that is something that you can implement pretty quickly that I think is going to help you a lot.
And remember how a few episodes back, and if you didn't listen to this, you don't have to for this one to make sense, you can just go back and listen to it. I talked about how I'm putting, working in quotes, like what's quote working on Instagram. Uh, and I don't even like to use the word trend because I mean it's like, you'll see what I'm saying is like the more.
Uncurated, like, I want to know your thoughts. Like I don't want something that like chat, GPT or Claude or GR or whatever can go in here and like spit out all this mass content or like, I could have Googled that or whatever. Like my coach recently said, uh, Lacey cites was like, uh, what did she say?
Information is no longer a commodity. And she's so right. And you're like, whoa, crap, Molly. I used to, I hide behind my educational content and I just go give people tips and I'm being useful and helpful. You're not wrong. Uh, and that used to be like, that would just be all you'd have to do is hop on and give tips and you'd be great.
But that has shifted, and it's not necessarily like we're saying don't be helpful or give people tips, but it's like the way that you frame it. Different. And that's what I talk about more in, into, uh, the last, uh, like I said, the episode I on that a couple weeks, we'll link that one in the show notes. All it is is like basically weaving your own.
Personal experience as a practitioner and expertise and stories into your content versus like three tips for better sleep. It's like, Hey, I was just with this patient and here's three things we've done. Here's three, like small tweaks we've implemented that have really been helping her go from taking an hour to fall asleep to only about 15 minutes.
See how different that feels. You're like, oh wait, I wanna listen to that. And then you maybe give a story. You're like, so she has two young kids and so she's not able to do X, Y, Z, but instead she does this versus being like, one, have a dark room two. Turn off all electronics before, like people know that shit, guys, like nobody cares about that type of content anymore.
I know it's exhausting. Trust me, as an agency owner who's pumping out lots and lots and lots of content for clients, it's like turning the Titanic. We're definitely shifting, you know, little by little our content style. So, oh, this was supposed to be the intro. Okay, there's the intro. I'm gonna teach you how I use chat GPT to.
Create carousels that don't just sound like me, that are me. Okay? This isn't me like uploading some big custom GPT or training it to talk like me. Like this is like literally the easy button of how to make Instagram carousels that are like exactly in this style that I've been talking about, and I'm sure this works for any ai, like whatever you're used to.
I have the paid version. I have not tested this on the free version. But you certainly can. And then my disclaimer is I am by no means an AI expert. I would maybe barely classify me as a novice. Maybe I am. I'm just not afraid to like push. But here's what I love about ai. If you don't know how to use it, all you have to do is literally ask it.
Like into the ai, you're using your're, like, hi, I don't know how to use you to do X, Y, Z. Can you explain it to me? And it'll tell you. So that's like the beauty of ai. Okay. Man, I guess the MCT oil hasn't kicked in. Here we go. Cue the intro.
Hey, welcome to Holistic Marketing Simplified. This podcast boils down to the fact that we wholeheartedly believe that more humans need to know about holistic health solutions. And you didn't go to school to learn how to be a full-time content creator and show up on Instagram and do all of this marketing stuff all day, every day.
So let's come hanging out while we chat. All things ease in your marketing and my goal is that you shift your mindset around your marketing from a quote should to a I get to more dream patients and clients. Yes, please. Hello, my name is Dr. Abby Parrish and I'm a chiropractor located in Old Town Daphne, Alabama.
And I listen to the Holistic Marketing Simplified podcast. So since I made the intro longer than I meant to, let me just give you. And I'm sure I didn't get this prompt from anybody. I'm sure somebody out there has a prompt floating around like this. Pretty similar, but this is how I use chat GPT. Um, I also have the paid version of Claude.
Claude is typically a better writer and chat, DBT. So I should, I should try this in Claude and then like see how that comes out too. So this is how I write carousels in a way that, you know, don't just sound like me, that literally are me, because it is my words. So I'm a big voice memo person. Who else is like a voice memo?
And I'm also a verbal processor, so I also have a very creative brain, right? So like I. We'll be in the shower. And I, I honest, I actually bought this, um, waterproof shower notebook because I think of so many ideas. Like I'll be laying in bed at night and I'm just like bombarded with ideas for posts, for clients, for myself.
I got acupuncture yesterday and I was just laying there on the table. I was like literally writing a post in my head. Like I, it's just like I can't stop. I just think that, and I have like for the women in my audience, I have noticed that I get more ideas around like the ovulation of my cycle. So that's something also interesting to track because if you're having one of those like, woe is me, I don't have any ideas days.
I think sometimes just counting on knowing that the creativity will come back is helpful. If you can kind of start to track that. So here is what I do. Like I said, I didn't learn this from anybody. I don't know. I'm not an AI expert. I'm sure there's a better way or something different than someone would be like, oh, you could also do this.
Like, yes, you can upload samples of your writing and scripts from your videos and train it how to talk like you and all of that. And yes, we do a lot of that too. We do all that for our clients. Um, my VA helps me write these podcast emails every week and I go tweak them, but like. She mostly has trained it to, you know, be in my voice and all that.
So I'm not saying that there's not a time and place for that. I'm saying if you're like me and sometimes things like that just sound like, so, like that's too many steps. I just wanna get, I just, you know, had this really awesome appointment with a patient who was going from having, you know, five migraine days a month and now they've had only one migraine in six months.
And I just wanna get the story out. Here is how I do it. Okay, so I'll post this, uh, pay or paste post, whatever this in the show notes, but literally all I tell chat and you, it doesn't have to be this word for word. You could do your own version of this. I say, so I open up chat, GPT, I just do this on my phone, and I start a new chat and I just say, I am going to brain dump an idea for an Instagram carousel post.
Please don't change my words, but just clean up what I am saying. That's it. And then it says, got it. Go ahead and brain dump your idea. Then down at the bottom where there's the little bar and it says, ask anything, there's gonna be a little microphone button. So then I tap the microphone and I just start word vomiting, everything I want it to say.
Now on this one, I kind of had a little more of a structure of like in my head of how I wanted it to go. And I'll, I'll have to make this as a, a post on Instagram too, so you can see it. But I mean, it's literally like. One, two, like three thumb scrolls worth of text of me just talking to Chad and it says, like, I'm thinking the first slide would be something like, what's something you've recently added to your wellness routine that has truly made a difference?
And then the next slide. And then, and then I'll, it literally says, and then the next slide, and then I'll say, I'll go first and then on the next slide it will say, I actually stopped. Like I said, if you're just kind of reading this back, you're like, this is like gibberish. And so I just, like I said, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Talked into it, and then it takes, it takes about, I don't know, two to three minutes and then it, here's your brain, and then it cleans it all up. It says, here's your brain dump, cleaned up for clarity, flow, and easy reading. All your words are still here, just smooth. So it works well for an Instagram carousel.
And then it quite literally breaks it down into slide one, slide two, slide three, slide four. Now, is it going to be perfect? No. I mean, that's not, if you're expecting to use AI as like complete copy paste, I think you've got. Not quite the right expectations. Maybe an AI expert would disagree with me, but yeah, you definitely wanna still like go read through it.
And then that text, I would either go, then copy paste directly. Like I would either use like Canva to U if I'm using Canva to make carousels now, try to make them look more casual for the most part. Like just make them look a little less, like designed. Not always, like I'm actually about to post one right now that looks a little more designed.
For the most part. I try to make 'em just look with like, um, photo dump, like photos from my camera roll. Or you can also make carousels right inside of Instagram now, or even easier in my opinion, is to open up the photo you wanna use inside of Instagram Stories. And you can put the text over the photo, right inside Instagram stories.
And then once you've put the text on it, like say you've got like slide one. You go up to the top right of your stories, there's gonna be three little dots. There'll be a down arrow and you can save that slide, your camera roll, and you can post those slides as your stories just, they aren't quite the right size, so you just have to make sure you keep the text like right in the center or might cut some of your texts off.
So if you are a holistic marketing hub student, I taught a whole lesson on this. Thank you. There are a lot of you on that call live. And that carousel lesson. Lesson lives inside your portal. I also walked through not only a ton of different styles of carousels and ideas for carousels, but I also showed you the tech of how to make it right.
In Instagram, I showed you how to make them in Canva. So if you're in the hub and you're listening to this, make sure you go check out your training. And if you're not in the hub, that's silly, come join us. Yeah, you'll like, it's every, you don't have to stop second guessing everything. It's just like literally laying out for you step by step.
If you don't know what's included, we'll link it in the show notes. You can also just, if you're like listening on the fly and you're like, I'll never go back to the show notes like me, you can always go to molly cahill.com and you'll see the hub linked there. Or on my Instagram, there's a link in my bio.
Or you can DM me the word hub and I will chat with you. That doesn't trigger an automation, it just is me. Um, the code podcast will save you a hundred dollars off. The pay in full or the payment plan. And it's also exciting 'cause we actually are getting ready to announce in the next, actually, by the time this airs, it might already be.
Be live, but I'm hesitant to talk about it just in case it's not. But we're announcing something very exciting for the hub. Um, a big update that's just gonna make it a lot more user friendly. And after that we're gonna raise the price just a, a small bit. So if you're on the fence, definitely come, come up, come join us, come drink some MCT and collagen coffee with me and ask me about carousels, friend.
Okay. I hope that was helpful. Always DM me with, you know, I see these people have like 400 and something episodes of podcasts and I'm just like, wow. I'm, you know, uh, almost 130 episodes in. And not that I've by any means near running outta things to talk about, but I do love to get your feedback. So. All right guys.
I hope you have a fantastical day and chat soon. Thank you for listening to Holistic Marketing Simplified, and hey, you know how every podcaster at the very end of their episode asks you to rate and review their podcast. Well that's because it's super important. These podcasts take a lot of time and heart and effort to produce, to bring you free information.
So in order for me to be able to continue doing that, we need more people to find out about the show. So if you could please just take like two minutes out of your very busy day to leave me a rating and share this on your Instagram stories and tag at. Molly a Cahill, that's C-A-H-I-L-L.
