M-F, set a timer for 10 mins.

In that time, aim to:
📣 comment on 3 local biz or referral partners posts
♻️ repost 1-3 posts from the same accounts 
↗️ share 1-3 posts to your Stories

⭐️ Bonus tip: I LOVE interacting with “local influencer” type accounts that share things to do in your area! 

Example: if you’re a pediatric Chiro, there are always “things to do with your kids in XYZ city” type accounts

If you work with athletes, interact on local gym, race pages, hiking accounts for your area, high school athletics pages, etc!

(or your current people can’t follow you!)

When someone goes to the search box on Instagram, there are only TWO fields on your profile that populate in search. 🔍 

1️⃣ your USERNAME (this is your @ handle and is also what determines your Instagram URL)
2️⃣ the NAME line

Here’s how to optimize:

Steps:
▶️ Tap “Edit Profile” on your Instagram page
▶️ The USERNAME field is your @ handle. I wouldn’t change that unless you’re just starting out and/or don’t have many followers or haven’t promoted your Instagram anywhere (or you’re making a big pivot)
▶️ The field that says NAME *should not* be an exact match of your @ handle/username - it’s a waste of searchable real estate
▶️ you get around 50ish characters for the NAME field
▶️ DO NOT play around with the NAME line on Instagram as you cannot change it more than twice in a two week period. I use charactercounteronline.com to test possibilities 
▶️ The NAME line isn’t the place to use acronyms that aren’t well known or cutesy titles people wouldn’t be searching

So what should be included? Between the USERNAME and the NAME field, try to fit these FOUR things:

1️⃣ business name
2️⃣ provider’s name(s) 
**if you have more than two providers, special instructions below**
3️⃣ city/town name
4️⃣ what you do (ie “chiropractor” “acupuncture”)

This is the perfect recipe for searchability!

🤩Example🤩
USERNAME: @ activatechiropractic
NAME: Dr. Derek Libby 📍Poway, CA Chiropractor

**If there are multiple providers:
- list the most well known in the NAME field and list others in the “Bio” field or
- list just first or just last names in NAME field or
- forego the searchability of the name but still include names in “Bio” field 

✅ Now- go check your page and let me know below if you pass the 4️⃣ point searchability inspection!

“5 reasons you need ___” content doesn’t speak to anything they’re facing RIGHT AWAY, so they’re not even going to take time to swipe or read.

🧠 Our brains filter it out.

You want them to think you have a ESP. 🔮

Or you have access to the AI searches and convos. 😉

(if you are brand new in practice and don’t have any Google reviews, go grab the reviews of another practitioner you admire!)

will not stop someone’s scroll, because you aren’t presenting them with a specific enough reason to read the rest of your post.

Your Google reviews, however, are a treasure trove🏆of specific language that meet your ideal patients, exactly where they are

they stop their scroll 
⬇️
they feel seen and confident that you are the practitioner to help them with their problems and they book an appointment 💃
