Swipe my Instagram Content Planning Process for Batching Your Instagram Posts!

Simple steps to save time and batch your Instagram posts so that you can focus on helping more clients and patients.

We’ve all been there – you know you should be posting on Instagram but there are 1,000 more urgent and pressing things on your to-do list. And if you do ever actually manage to find time to work on your Instagram content you end up spending the entire time coming up with ideas without ever actually posting.

Instagram is a key part of your marketing strategy. It’s your first handshake with new potential clients and patients. Your profile and feed is the place where you get to show off who you are, your values, how you serve people and so much more.

If planning your Instagram content is leaving you frustrated and frazzled, I’ve got a new system for you! This is the Instagram content planning process I use for all of my Instagram management clients.

1. Block out holidays and special promotions

Block out any days you know your office or practice will be closed, days you are running special offers or a promotion, and don’t forget to add in national holidays. These are all great opportunities to remind people of your hours, discounts, or anything else special happening in the office, but please avoid the temptation to post a generic holiday post like “Happy National Donut Day.” You can read why that’s a bad idea here.

2. Pull out 2-3 reviews

Find 2-3 testimonials or reviews. This is social proof of just how great your business is! You can take screenshots of Google reviews, share a happy email from a customer, or anything else that shows people enjoying your services.

3. Pull in your core content.

This is your educational content. The posts where you are giving tips and tricks or teaching about the things you do. Your core content establishes YOU as the expert that they want to go see. This is a great place to use carousels and reels where you are teaching the three things framework.

Not sure how to find your core content? My Content Ecosystem breaks it all down.

4. Sprinkle in your personality with engagement posts.

Memes, reshares, and those “can’t not respond” prompts to encourage engagement on your posts and within your Instagram community.

5. Tell people how you can help them!

Pitch yourself! Your followers aren’t mind readers. They won’t automatically know what your services are or how you can help. Pitches can be anything about booking with you, consultation, or downloading your free guide. These pitches can be stand-alone or you can mix the pitch with a testimonial, review, or one of your core content educational posts.

6. Community and referrals

What’s better than one audience? TWO! Share about your favorite places around town, do a “follow Friday” on local accounts you’re loving, or write an educational post about a complementary business. You can use local hashtags to find ideas. Make sure you tag the other business so they know you’ve been bragging and sharing about their services.
