My Favorite Tools for Instagram (+ Everything I Use to Run My Business)

Swipe this list of my favorite tools for Instagram to simplify your content creation and make your life easier!

I’m all about simplifying and saving time. Most people (including you and me) aren’t full-time Instagram influencers. We don’t have time to spend all day on the platform or have these magical uninterrupted days where you can batch hundreds of Instagram Reels dancing around to a silly song. You’re already busing running your business and seeing clients everyday, you don’t need more to do!

These are my favorite time saving tools for Instagram that I use to run my own business and help manage our done-for-you Instagram Management clients. These are tried and tested tools that will save you time (and money too!)

Filming and Video Tools for Instagram

Lighting:

  • Windows – Natural light is always best! Film near a window or get creative and prop your phone up by the window. I’ve used tape, books, toys and so many other things to create a simple, but well lit video. Click here to see an example of how big of a difference natural lighting can make!
  • Neewer Ring Light – If you can’t find natural light or you’re filming in a darker space this is my favorite ring light.
  • This cool phone holder for Instagram Lives – Bonus tip use this to film yourself doing normal things during your day. I like to film while I’m doing my makeup as it holds viewers interest and saves me time from having to create content later! Multi-tasking is your friend while filming!

Sound:

If you are going to be filming up close. You don’t need a mic. You can use regular old headphones, but if you are going to be filming from farther away use a bluetooth microphone. This is great for when you are showing an adjustment or showing an exercise on camera.

Tech Support and Outsourcing

I highly recommend getting support for the tech parts of your business! Your zone of genius is helping patients and clients – it’s not getting bogged down in the weeds with tech. Here are my recommendations!

Software, Apps, and Programs

  • Honeybook – Use this link to save 50%!
  • Kartra – for online courses and email marketing!
  • Canva
  • Planoly
  • Grammarly
  • Inshot app– I use this $4.99 app to edit all my client’s Reels (and my own)- I find it super intuitive although it has taken me about 10+ videos to learn all the features. HMH students will have an in-depth tutorial available soon, and I also plan to post some quick tutorials on my Reels and YouTube channel (so subscribe if you aren’t already!)
  • Clean My Mac – $34.95 for one year and it clears all the crap/scans for viruses from your Mac (sorry PC users!) and makes my computer run much faster.
  • This website takes your brand colors and shows you lighter, darker or more or less saturated versions- it’s PERFECT for creating on-brand graphics when you want a little more variety but want to stick to your palette!
  • 238 Accounting – Kelly is my therapist/bookkeeper. I am not paid a cent to promote her and I love her to the moon and back. In addition to keeping my books in order, she offers monthly money mindset coaching that NEVER disappoints. She only works with conscious entrepreneurs and I love the little bit of woo and magic she infuses into something that could be mundane!
  • Templates from Linsey Shae Consulting– don’t get caught unprepared! Are you using photos of your clients or patients on social media? Make sure you have them sign this release. She also has a ton of other legal templates to choose from for your website and more. Use code MOLLY10.

Online Courses and Business Coaching

Kate Kordsmeier’s Success with Soul Incubator*- Being a part of this mastermind/online business coaching/course hybrid program has been a huge breath of fresh air. It is the most money I have ever spent on my business, but I have already earned it back from Kate’s coaching. This program is for women who have an online business they want to scale without resorting to “hustle” and burnout.
